United Methodist Women’s Corner

On May 13, 2017 is our annual Daughter/Daughter Luncheon, with a Silent Auction, starting at 11:30 am. Everyone is to bring a salad to share. Dessert will be provided.

The entertainment featuring Patsy Cline and Minnie Pearl impersonations, and the Wicked Witch of the West (in person), along with an original Tuskegee Airman, Frank Macon, known as the Red Tails, who will be leading the singing. Mostly comical but with a Spiritual finish.

Sign up sheet will be in Fellowship Hall, late April, for how many are coming, and clean up.

Don't forget to bring your unwanted items for the Silent Auction.

United Methodist Men’s Corner

Sadly, many people are not as excited about church groups as they might be. One reason is membership in organizations and groups has become commonplace in our society. Church groups can become just one more thing to join.  Is the United Methodist Men’s Group different or just another group to join?  I would say our Men’s Group is special. The United Methodist Men’s Group offers to men of all ages a place to socialize, a place to express emotions, a place to learn, a place to get involved, a place to make friends, a place to share similar religious thoughts, a place to simply be yourself and a buffet breakfast. We are a group that is free to join, no membership dues, attendance is not taken nor is it rewarded.  You can converse as little or as much as much as you desire before, during, or after any meeting.  To take part all you have to do is show up.  Check us out.  We meet the second Saturday of every month at the Country Buffett, at 8:00 am.   Ernie Dunbar
